Project Scope
Stellar Energy provided the engineering and turnkey installation to retrofit Corona Cogeneration Facility's existing GE LM5000 with a turbine inlet air chilling system. The TIAC system consists of industrial refrigeration equipment, cooling towers and distribution piping and has an overall refrigeration capacity of 7,000 kWc/2,000 TR. By chilling the inlet air to 7°C/45°F, output is expected to increase by 15%. Stellar Energy services included design, construction and fabrication.
