Stellar Energy Appoints Michael Marr, P.E. as Senior Vice President, Technology & Innovation

Michael MarrStellar Energy, a global provider of energy solutions, is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Marr as Senior Vice President, Technology & Innovation.  Marr's responsibilities include directing the continued advancement of Stellar Energy's energy solutions, especially the firm's chilled water applications, including District Energy and Modular Utility Plants.  "Stellar Energy is committed to keeping our energy solutions at the leading edge of technology, efficiency and sustainability advancements.  Mike's depth of experience and engineering expertise make him well qualified to direct our energy innovation efforts," says Peter Gibson, Executive Chairman, Stellar Energy.

Marr brings more than 40 years of experience in plant engineering, energy engineering and energy conversion and efficiency to his new position.  He has specific experience in the areas of District Energy systems, energy efficiency project development, energy and process engineering analysis, Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP) design and application, and industrial energy systems.  Marr has authored several papers and publications on energy-relation topics.

Marr brings more than 40 years of experience in plant engineering, energy engineering and energy conversion and efficiency to his new position.  He has specific experience in the areas of District Energy systems, energy efficiency project development, energy and process engineering analysis, Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP) design and application, and industrial energy systems.  Marr has authored several papers and publications on energy-relation topics.Marr joins Stellar Energy from Veolia Energy where he served as Vice President, Engineering, heading up engineering efforts for the Central and Midwest regions and providing technical consulting for business development efforts.  Prior to that, Marr was Principal of Nexant's Madison, Wisconsin office, responsible for managing Nexant's design and implementation of energy efficiency programs for state and utility clients.  His career also included positions at Dominion Evantage, Wisconsin Electric and Wisconsin Natural Gas.  Marr holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a B. Tech. in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Brunel University, Uxbridge, England.  Marr is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and Chartered Engineer in the U.K.
